The Summer Chefs weeks will bring three top chefs to Snickari

During the upcoming summer, Snickari will host three top chefs for the Summer Chefs weeks. Jonathan Slotte, the head chef of Finland’s only two Michelin-starred restaurant, Palace, will kick off the event from June 4th to 9th. His menu will be available until the end of Naantali Music Festival on June 15th. Pinja Paakkonen, the head chef of Pure & V, a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Nice, France, will take over the Snickari kitchen in July. In August, Dani Hänninen, the restaurateur and head chef of Helsinki’s Wellamo and 305 restaurants, will spend the first week by the Naantali shore.

Each chef will be at Snickari for approximately a week, during which their specially designed and crafted three-course signature menu, accompanied by an amuse-bouche, will be available.

6.–10.8. Dani Hänninen

Dani works as both a restaurateur and head chef in Helsinki, managing two restaurants. Wellamo restaurant opened in Katajanokka in 2021, and 305 restaurant opened last spring in Hakaniemi. With his passionate approach and 15 years of experience, Dani has evolved into a determined professional. He is also familiar from the MasterChef Suomi program from 2020.

4.–15.6. Jonathan Slotte

Jonathan works as the head chef at Palace restaurant in Helsinki. In 2022, Palace was awarded its second Michelin star, making it the only two Michelin-starred restaurant in Finland. The year 2022 was also personally successful for Jonathan, as he first received the PRO Award and later in the fall, he was crowned as the Chef of the Year 2022.

2.–6.7. Pinja Paakkonen

Pinja studied as a baker-pastry chef in Turku and then pursued further studies at the École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie in France. In 2019, she hosted a dessert pop-up at Pinella restaurant in Turku. The following year, Pinja went to work at the two Michelin-starred Alchemist restaurant in Copenhagen. In 2021, she won the restaurant chefs category at the PRO gala. Since 2022, she has been working at the one Michelin-starred Pure & V restaurant in Nice.
